Whatever I'm enthused about at the moment ;-p
Lawrence of Arabia

I'm a Lawrence of Arabia fan. Lots of cool WWI history in that movie that you
never learned in school, because everyone seems to spend all their time
yammering about WWII endlessly. I like how Lawrence fearlessly dives into a
totally different culture (even if it was for war-related reasons). Oh, and
there's Turkish bi-planes. I'm so used to seeing old war movies with Japanese,
German, and American planes that I remember squinting at the emblem on the plane
and exclaiming, "my god, that's a Turkish plane. wtf." (RIP to the legendary
Peter O’Toole, star of Lawrence of Arabia.)

Really convincing and advanced trolls
2013-06-13 - culture
Whenever I hear of some huge racist thing happening on the Internet, my first
assumption is, "oh, that's probably just a bunch of bored, 12 year old Internet
trolls." But after reading samples of the posts, I come to the conclusion that
either they're really convincing and advanced trolls or they're actually 100%
genuine inbred knuckle-draggers who somehow got access to a computer and figured
out how to use it.
Ways Christians Tend to Fail at Being Christian article

Hehe, nice article: Ten Ways Christians Tend to Fail at Being Christian
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/john-shore/10-ways-christians-tend-t_b_562583.html
Interesting quote, "8) Too fixated on homosexuality. Can we Christians
stop already with the gay and lesbian fixation? I know many of us understand our
stance on the matter to be unassailably Biblical. I know a great many of us are
deeply concerned about the "homosexual agenda." I know. We all know. Maybe
Christians could just give that issue a rest for a while. It's not like gay and
lesbian people are going anywhere. They'll all be there when we get back. Maybe
-- for just a week, a day, a month -- we could concern ourselves with something
else, and let them be. (See my post "Christians: When It Comes to Homosexuality,
Man Up.")"
